By accessing or using our website, attending our classes, workshops, or any other services offered by Sterling Academy, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Sterling Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. - Enrollment and Payment: You are responsible for completing the enrollment process accurately and providing valid payment information. Tuition fees are due according to the payment schedule outlined in your enrollment agreement. Late payments may be subject to late fees.
- Attendance and Participation: Regular attendance and active participation are essential for successful completion of our programs. Students are expected to arrive on time, prepared for class, and respectful of their instructors and fellow students.
- Code of Conduct: You agree to abide by Sterling Academy's Code of Conduct, which prohibits harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior, and any other actions that may create a hostile or unsafe learning environment.
- Intellectual Property: You acknowledge that all course materials, scripts, and other intellectual property provided by Sterling Academy are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from these materials without our express written consent.
- Personal Information: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. You agree to notify Sterling Academy immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of Sterling Academy's services.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sterling Academy of Dramatic Arts, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in any way connected with your use of our services, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, revenue, or data

- Errors or omissions in our course materials
- Interruptions or delays in service

In no event shall Sterling Academy's total liability to you exceed the amount of tuition fees you have paid to us. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
Sterling Academy is not responsible for the actions or conduct of its students or instructors. We do not guarantee employment opportunities or specific career outcomes for our graduates. The acting industry is competitive, and success depends on various factors beyond our control.
Force Majeure: Sterling Academy shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, fire, floods, strikes, or government regulations.
5. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

These Terms and Conditions were last updated on October 26, 2023.
Cancellation Policy: Students wishing to withdraw from a course or program must submit a written notice to the admissions office. Refunds will be processed according to the following schedule: Full refund (minus a $100 administrative fee) if the notice is received at least 30 days prior to the start date; 50% refund if received 15-29 days prior to the start date; No refund will be issued for notices received less than 15 days prior to the start date or after the program has commenced.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the services provided by Sterling Academy shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Chicago, Illinois. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
